The Fault in Our Stars

The marks humans leave are too often scars.

-John Green

Lovelies, I read this gorgeous sad book called the Fault in Our Stars by John Green. It is about a young girl who has terminal cancer and a young boy she meets that also has cancer. It is a super sad book and I cried for most of the second half. The book is being made into a movie that is set to be released in June.

After reading that, it made me stop to think that our every day normal struggles do not really pale in comparison to teenagers and kids who are sick trying to survive awful diseases and knowing they only have a matter of time. Most of us are lucky as we have our health and do not have to worry about these struggles as a teenager.

The book reminded me that we are all human but we should be grateful for the life we have and use it to push forward and leave a footprint of who we want to be and what we want to be remembered for in the days we are no longer here. I would hope to leave behind a legacy of kindness and truth and hope, others try to do the same.
