I don’t think there is such a thing as being too raunchy
when it comes to the art form of burlesque.
As promised Lovelies, here is a post dedicated to my inner Vegas showgirl to show everyone. Yesterday, I started the live challenges with 32 other girls who are competing to win this year’s MVW crown. The theme was Lady Marmalade meets Zumanity.
Now I will admit, I had no idea what Zumanity is, what it does or where to go for it, so I googled the crap load out of it. I watched the videos on youtube, read articles all over the web and unfortunately, I know the Lady Marmalade video very well as I think I have seen Moulin Rouge 10000 times.
So, I watched the video and the movie again and I was inspired by Satine when she was singing in the opening number Diamonds are a Girl’s Best friend. I thought I am going to make the biggest, tackiest, bling-est Las Vegas sensual show girl to be seen on this very red stage. So I mixed and matched a ton and came up with the look below-
The photos are courtesy of the amazing Addison Summerwind and the below one was taken during my dance as we were told to have a dance.
I mixed and matched a lot so here goes-
