So, classes started this week here in Chicago and I am excited to start my second semester working on my PhD. in child psychology. I do think that the above quote is true as our teachers, doctors and professionals that work with children all need education and a good degree. It lends so much to a child’s life to have a really great teacher or a really great doctor that they can talk with.

I am working on my dissertation which is based on the effects of having a family member or a close friend with schizophrenia and how it affects children growing up and how many of those children develop mental illnesses as well. It is hard as I am working with small children and a lot of it is just based on case studies as schizophrenia doesn’t manifest itself til later on.
